Hi everyone,
Today in installed the Bittorent client and i wanted to donwload Pc game Fahrenheit or Indigo prophecy( same game). I did get very slow download speed. Seed/leech Ratio was like 60/100. I did forward my port from 6881 ~6889, configure my firewall, and open up max connects to pc to 100. Nothing Helped! I set up the upload speed 80% of my uploud speed. waited like 3h to catch more seeds. The down speed was same 5kb/s ! it is so slow. i think it is all because my internet is to slow to dl torrent links. It is dsl 764kbps. Is anyone with this kind internet get dl like 50-100kb/s ? I wanna know what is the problem...

In the menu on the left hand side under Advanced, click Connection. There should be an Enable UPnP Port Mapping(XP only) checkbox on the right hand side. Make sure it is unchecked.

Did you remember to do that?

Ok i found how to change it. Now it is little bit better but still i get only 20kb/s it is slow. Emule same thing it does get max of 20kb/s. Ofcourse i do not use both programs at once.
Any solutions why is the critical dl is only 20kb/s not like 50kb/s ?

p.s. I tried my max uploud speed posible to get on this torrent program, it was about 45kb/s. i want that to be my download!


I dont have this box i just have one setting buttom. how come?

@ karoce

You should try and choose another port because the bittorrent ports 6881-6999 are usually blocked by some ISP's these days. Therefore a better choice in ports should be around 50000-65000.

Now i changed my torrent software to BitLord i opened port58880 .
but i did same thing as a bittoreent but nevermind i still get no high dl 20kb/s max. I checked the logs the only error i saw was" Windows XP ICS Status: cannot find working ICS." how to fix this?

I did somethings from your post. But did not really helped. I have like a cap for download speed i never got more than 30kb/s dl. Maybe this is my max download speed? Oh maybe im using my internet through modem (westwell 2200) ant its through erthernet?
