Our playstation was purchased for christmas '05. I have been using DVD decryptor to backup games by creating the iso files and burning them to DVD+R and so far I have made nothing but coasters. The files are burned to the disk but when I try to play them on the ps2 a message comes up to insert a playstation disk. Is there anything else i need to do to make playable back up games??
the caps trick the ps2 into thinking that the lid is never open. you load swap magic, wait for the screen to prompt you, then put in your legal back up and press x. stay away from DVD+R. they might work and they might not. if they work for you then great. if not then you have wasted your time and several dvd's. use dvd-r's and get good media. I use sony's. memorex is crap. cheap dye will trash you ps2 laser.
