ps2 modification:swap magic 3.6 plus magic switch
ps2 version:black slimline v12
game acquired:downloaded
rebuild:no
rebuiling software:N/A
Burning software: nero
Problem:I have followed instructions how to burn with nero using nero rom and selecting udf/iso done that but when i put my swap magic in i choose pal cause under normal boot or ntsc the game is in black and white when i put the game disc in the game loads and it plays for about 10 minutes or less then the disc just stops and when you click the x on controller tv goes black i then have to put swap magic back in and do again but same thing happens or the game plays for a little bit then music and conversions goes choppie or the game just freezes altogether can anyone help as i was looking forward to playing this game as it's not out in my country thinking of getting ps2 chipped but don't won't to fork out alot of money if i can get my swap magic to work thks to anyone that can help.

how big is the iso for wild arms? you may have to rebuild it with isobuster first. I rebuild games if they are over 4 gb's to get them to run smoother.

If the game is in ISO format then you do not need to use the UDF/ISO mode in Nero.
That is for when you are rebuilding an ISO, not if you already have one. If it is an ISO you want to use the image burning option in Nero Startsmart (or smartstart whichever it is)
It will look like an icon of a DVD with a match on fire.
Use that and burn the ISO. I would use the 1-8X DVD's
And burn it at 4X, if you use the 4X DVD's then set it to the slowest setting that it will let you. You should not burn a disc that has a 4X max at 4X, but should do them at 1-2X

If you have the ISO you can also use Alcohol 120% or DVD Decrypter to burn the image.

Swap Magic will play PAL & NTSC games if you switch the video mode to the correct region but it does have it's drawbacks. Like you will most likely have a little screen cut off on the game. If it is still black & White then it may be that your TV doesn't support both formats.

As far as the modchip is concerned. Save your money and get a good one. And with a slimline also a laser fix. They are well worth the money and will outperform Swap Magic in every catagory. DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity are your best bet for modchips.
