Hi,
I have accounts of few private torrent sites but I only focus on uploading to one of them since I wanna keep my ratio up and get the power user status. Anyhow, I'm a bit worried because private sites disable accounts which are inactive for a while; like 40 days. Even though I don't use sites except TL often, I don't wanna lose them. So, now my question is to avoid them banning my account should I really need to upload/download or infrequent log-ins and log-outs enough to show that my account is active? ...like keeping alive a hot-mail accounts...

I have several accounts where I haven't downloaded anything for months but I make sure I log in at least once a week. So I would say as long as you remember to log in occasionally you should be OK. Other than that some sites will let you park your account if you are definitely not going to use it for some time.

Yeah I do the same as theghurka. If you havent uploaded or downloaded from the private tracker in a while just log in there every fortnight and by doing this you are telling the servers that your an active user.
