hi,
hope someone can help me.
i have a movie in two parts that i want to join together, i do this normally with virtualdub with no problems, but sometimes i cant do it and get this error below....

virtualdub error
----------------------
cannot append segment "c:name of file.avi" the audio streams have different sampling rates (13785.00000 vs 13808.00000)

i know that the problem is the different sampling rates, but how do i overcome this to join these two files together, its most annoying.
any help on how i achieve this, like a step by step guide, would be most welcome.
thanks in advance.

Since I didn't see the procedure which must be followed, but you misg read on the FAQ: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/309635.
Otherwise, follow this procedure:

1) Open the 1st AVI with VirtualDub. Set Audio__Full processing mode. File___Save WAV.
2) Run HeadAC3he. Load that WAV. Choose as destination format: MP3. Click [options] twice and select 'Alt CBR' as preset (which means to use a CBR 128 kbps compression). Click [start].
3) Open again that AVI , but this time with VirtualDubMod. Do Stream___Stream List. Disable the old stream, Add the one you just made. Set Video__Direct stream copy and do File__Save (F7).

Repeat with the 2nd.

Now you can join those AVI files.
