A/v sync problems ripping Simpsons using ImTOO and Xilisoft

I have a problem and would appreciate any help on it. I downloaded the trial for both Xilisoft and ImTOO DVD Ripper Platinums (which are oddly identical in design). The problems lie in when I try to rip some episodes of The Simpsons off my DVD. The audio and video sync are way off track even though I have enabled A/V sync and disabled Deinterlace filter. I even tried tinkering with the framerates, but to no avail. The sound is not only off sync, but it is choppy as well. I can vaguely tell that the A/V sync is trying to sync up the audio, but it still lags and cuts off at the same parts with both rippers. I then tried to rip another regular movie I had (i.e. not a cartoon [Ocean's Eleven]) and that worked perfectly. I tried to rip Simpsons once using MPG-1 format and again with the DivX codec. Both times, the sound skips at the same spots and is off sync mostly at the beginning most likely due to the sync compensating.

Can anyone help me out here? I appreciate your time.

Actually, Imtoo and Xilisoft are from the same company.
