Hey all,
I looked around the forums, but I don't think there's a definitive answer to end all answers when it comes to this...
I'm trying to copy Dynasty Warriors 5: Extreme Legends
I'm using Memorex DVD-R Burn at 2x
Image size is about 4.08 GB, but I did NOT rebuild (should I?)
I do the swap magic 3.6 thing but it always says "Not a valid ps2 Disc"
Anyone have any suggestions?

i've heard they're junk and i've heard they work beautifully. I was using a different kind (though I'm not sure what they were cause my brother just gave me a bunch), and nothing has worked.

you might have to patch that one game, im not too sure. try burning another game like..spartan total warrior. i know for a fact that game will work. i had the same issue with games on my second ps2. i was using memorex and imation. the only game that worked was the warriors but was slooooooooowwww. so i switched to sony and they work great.

I am having some real issues here. I'm trying to burn an ISO image file of Smackdown vs. Raw 06 and GT4 using DVD Decrypter and Sony DVD-R's. It works but when I try using it on my slim ps2 fliptop with Swap Magic version 3.6, it still says INVALID PS2 DISC!!!!! WTF DO I DO??? HELP ME PLEASE!

If I have to rebuild a game from an .ISO image how do I do it? And if not then what do I do to have my PS2 read my backup disc copies after I use Swap Magic? Someone please give me an in-depth guide. Here's what I have done, please tell me what I am or not doing.
1)Burn PS2 game ISO image onto Sony DVD-R using ImgBurn program
2)Insert Swap Magic DVD 3.6 into PS2 and wait for it to load
3)At load image screen I insert DVD-R into the PS2
After I have done this it says insert a valid PS2 disc....WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? HELP ME PLEASE I DONT WANT TO WASTE ANY MORE DVD-R's!!!!

I agree. I tried copying a game that was only 2.2 gigs so I know I don't need to rebuild it and I'm still getting the same problem. I haven't tried using sony cd-r's yet cause i just bought some memorex ones...I guess i'll go to walmart and try to get some sony ones, but this is a lot of blown money. When I put the burned dvd in, it doesn't even seem like it's trying to spin the disc. The lid is on tight, and it sits there for 30 seconds and then every once in a while makes the sound of the lens moving (or whatever) a few times, then it says invalid ps2 disc.

ok gt4 unless downloaded is a DVD9 which means it need to be ripped to fit on a dvd5
memorex may work but they are burning you lazer anyway and in a slim ps2 you need to be alot more careful as the lazer is a good as a fat ps2
i would surgest ty's or verbs but its your choice
if a game is only 4.08 it dosent need rebuilding but it cant do it anyharm
use the gnie expert tool very simple a 99% sucess rate (to rebuild)

So what do you think my problem is? I'm pretty sure its a v1 ps2, so maybe the laser is crap...should I go spend 20 bucks for some sony dvd-r's? I use dvd decryptor to make isos then use it to burn the dvd-r's (i do mine on 2x)

Okay, I got it to work, but now the games are really slow and choppy. Is this a media issue, or a dirty lens?
