hi guys,girls

k, i have been searching for sometime now regarding the firmware update for the philips dvdrw228k
the current version is 1.51
i hear runours that it lets the writer write at 4x
i also hear runours regarding compatabilty issues
phoned philips but gave up in the end after hearing (( you are in a que etc,etc ))
can anyone in this forum tell me what the new firmware does please,
i am a beleaver in the saying (( if it works ok then dont mess with it ))
so before i upgrade the firmware i want to be sure what it does ;)

i have the philips dvdrw228k but with nero i can get the image but cant write it back to a dvd+rw disc it just says medium illegal what does this mean? please help. thanks

What version of Nero ?
Are you using Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express?
What brand of RW is it?

Anything else you feel can increase your chances of a successful reply without it being a drawn out process : )

DVD Decrypter or Smartripper [to rip/unencrypt]

DVD2One or DVD Shrink [to compress if bigger than 4.37Gb]

Nero Burning Rom
