Iam currently capturing vhs to dvd. Should i capture in avi or mpeg format? after that iam going to use tmpegnc xpress to make them a dvd. which is a good capture sotfware? iam using dscaler.

I'd go with mpeg your going to end up encoding it in that format anyway.
