Yeah, I know - Ifoedit is antiquated and there's probably something better out there - but I'm old and set in my ways.

Long time, no post (these new fangled software bundles - shrink etc - take the romance out of it).

Want to get rid of copyright screens etc on my son's dvds (keeping the originals as backups). He's only 2 and a combination of age and medical condition leave him with no patience \ attention span whatsoever.

Have gone back to my oldd notes and the Doom9 tutorials but can't seem to get on particular disc to work:

Using Vobrator:

main movie is in vts_02 set
copyright intro is in vts_01 set

Vts_01_0 has 5 Vob Ids

The first is the menu screen for the disk - want to keep this
The other 4 are all blank

Vts_01-1 has 1 Vob Id - the copyright screen that I want rid of.

My problem is that Ifoedit only opens up the Vts_01_0.ifo and the 5 Vob Ids mentioned in it are the 5 attached to Vts_01_0.

How do I find the one attached to Vts_01-1 and either strip it or delete it's playback?

Any advice gratefully recieved
Galbin

If it's for your son, then most likely he won't want menus or extra features either....

So the easiest way would be DVDShrink, using the re-author feature to backup the main movie only. The result is a DVD that you pop in your player, and the movie starts immediately. You can even easily edit out the opening credits where the production companies congratulate each other on how many outfits cooperated to bring you the movie.

Thanks for your comments

We already use Shrink but Jack loves the menus - he's at that stage where he's just understanding cause and effect and he'll sit for hours exploring the menu or going backwards and forwards on his tape and CD players.

Give him a toy and he'll have it turned on, adjusted and know exactly what it's capable of within 5 minutes. At 18 months he worked out how to unlock the phones - mobile and static and regularly changes ring tones for us!

IfoEdit is not very well suited for this. You will need to modify navigation - which is a pain.

What you want to do is a matter of few mouse clicks with DvdReMake. Import, right-click on things you don't like/need, select "hide", export when done.
