You're new blank hard disk is trying to take over booting windows, and obviously won't have windows on it, because it's new. Go into your BIOS and make sure that your older hard disk is selected first in the boot sequence. Also ensure that everything regarding the older HDD is set to Master, since that's what it is.

Right, when you first turn your PC on, the first screen that appear will either be a POST (power-on self-test) screen or a big logo of the motherboard manufacturer, usually the former.
Here you should press a key (usually delete, if that doesnt work, then check the bottom of the POST screen, that'll tell you which key it is. If you've got the logo, at the bottom it will give a button to press to get to the POST screen instead, this is Tab for me, but may not be for you) and you get into a blue screen with lots of options, the BIOS screen (Basic input/output system). Here there should be two options that end in "CMOS features", basic and advanced. Go into the advanced menu, and go to "Boot sequence". Here will probably be listed your two hard disks, your CD/DVD Drives and floppy disks. You will need to be able to recognise your hard disks by their name in order to select the correct one.
Your boot order should be:
Hard disk 1 (the older disk)
Floppy disk drive
Optical drive 1 (your main Cd/DVD drive)
Optical drive 2 (if you have a second one)
Hard disk 2 (the new drive)

After you've done this, you go to "exit and save changes" and the system should boot as normal.
