@tml2
Which movies and region are these in? I know I've seen posts about the 'red' dvd's but for the life of me can't remember what the heck they are! Are you using the lastest AnyDVD - 5.9.4.1?
How about dvdfab decrypter try that one to rip? Also what error are getting or what's happening?

well i tried deuce bigalow, european gigolo, it was european, so i think it was region 3, i even tried smart ripper and it wouldnt have any of it, ive tried all i could, and would really appreciate any links to any tools you could suggest. The errors im getting i use DVD Shrink are, DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue, and when i use DVD Decrypter it just stops at about 60% then nothing, infact it freezes up the program, smart ripper, after ive unlocked the files using a player it starts normaly then just stops at about 3%.
I have tried other orange/red discs and they were all the same

Western europe is region 2 so that could be the problem.

Download AnyDVD and then retry the copy.
Shrink and decrypter have not been updated for ages, so you'll need another program to run along side them to bypass the later protection that has been developed since the last updates to the programs your using.
Anydvd is free to trial, if it cures your problem, I would suggest you pay up and keep the program updated, best £20 I've ever spent!
