I have read over all the FAQs and guides but i haven't seen any improvement with loading games. I have the iso of the game and pretty much everyone on the site said it was a good/working iso. I burn the game with Alcohol 120%, set it at the lowest speed and had it booksetted to burn as a DVD-ROM. I used a Sony DVD+r (made in japan). My ps2 is fairly new, it is a version 7 which is suppose to be able to read DVD+r's. I would try a DVD-R but my burner can read or write them. I used swap magic and than swapped the game. after about three minutes i get "Not a valid ps2 disc". Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong, i would really appreciated it. My questions are...What am i doing wrong? Is there something that I can download make my drive read DVD-R's?

Naruto Hero 3 (about 2 gbs) and NBA Live 06 (about 4 gbs), they all fit perfectly onto the disc when i was burning. Also the iso's has good reviews on the site.

have you been able to get other games working, or its this your first attempt. Also, what are using with swap magic to make the swap?

Just to make sure your doing it right, see if these are the steps your using:
you use the slide tool to open the tray.
make your swap
Now, you need to push the tray back in the ps2 with your fingers
use the slide card to pull the pin back to the left where it started
at no point do you use the eject button after swap magic is loaded

Try loading an original ps2 game using the slide card (act like the original is a burnt game).

Well, try it. Everybody swears that they are using the slide card right, when they are not. This will prove if your doing it right or not. As far as i can tell, you have not gotten a backup to work, so in all respect, your a newbie.

If it's MIJ Sony DVD+R's, they're Taiyo Yuden's. I've burned 30+ PS2 games to Yuden000T02 with 0 coasters. What speed are you burning them at? I tend to agree with Sly, I think this could definitely be a slide card issue. On the final swap, push the disc tray in manually as far as possible without resealing it, then use the hook on the slide card to grasp the white tab that seals the tray and pull it all the way to the left until the tray closes. Have you gotten any backup games to work with Swap Magic yet?

I've tried burning at 1x speed, 2x, and 4x but no luck. No i havent got any of my backups to boot with swap magic. I dont know what im doing wrong, i read all the guides including yours but it seems im having no luck at all. I would used a DVD-R but my burning can't write those. Is there a way i can update my drive to read DVD-R's?

Make sure your firmware is up to date and your burner is in DMA mode.
92. Q. What is firmware and why should I care?
A. Firmware as defined by AD:
Sort of a "operating system of the hardware", an embedded instruction set built-in or flashed into a hardware equipment, such as a router, CDR drive, DVD-ROM drive, washing machine, etc.
Newer Firmware can unlock new features that are sealed on certain DVD Burners like booktyping, or simply enhance your existing Burner by improving burn quality and media compatiblility. Keeping your Firmware up to date is essential to ensure quality burns and maximum functionality from your DVD Burner. When flashing your burner with new Firmware, be very careful. Make sure you shut down all programs running in the background, the DVD-ROM drive is empty, and you follow all the directions included in the Firmware download exactly. A bad flash can fry your DVD Burner. Proceed with caution. You can find all the Firmware you'll ever need here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php
82. Q. When I'm burning with DVD Decrypter or Nero I get an I/O error or some other strange error, I'm not sure my burner is in DMA mode, and I'm confused about different media, what do I do?
