I'm using ImTOO DVD Ripper Platinum and no matter what format I rip to I get a kind of choppy playback on certain DVDs. Every other second or so the video will pause for a split second. DVDs that I noticed the most are HEAT, Gladiator, and Saving Private Ryan. But others will compress flawlessly.

Doe anyone have any solutions for this?

it sound more like a disc quality problem than an encoding one check out the golden rules in my sig

use better media ,Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim and burn at a slower speed try 4x max. if that doesnt work try better software CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD would be your best choice ,heres a giude
