ok guys this is reeeallly p*****in me off cos am seriously buildin up a lot of f****kin coasters and useless discs!!

when i either rebuild or dont rebuild games when i play them the sound is always out of sinc and the videos and sometimes in game (eg. on black when you swap weapons) it always glitches!!

i have tried rebuilt and non rebuilt fight night round 3 and like i sed videos glitch and it takes ages to load between rounds!

i am using swap magic 3.6 and verbatim 8X so its not the media!!

how old's your PS2?
i have a V3 and it seriously struggles theses day trying to read of backed up DVD no matter what brand.

Just google 'PS2 laser cleaning' and you'll find a guide on it, or even search here for it. It's not hard to clean but you do need instructions on the right technique. You'll need q-tips and alcohol (pure) or methylated spirit.

If that doesn't work, you may need a new laser (cheaper than replacing the whole console, but leaves the risk of something else breaking down on you).

Then again, you could be just doing something wrong during the rip/burn process.

a few suggestions
1. try cleaning he laser
2. try adjusting the laser
3. (do this first) search the net to see if there are any updates for your burners firmware, this can really help with getting good burns and media compatibility.
4. try different burning speeds if you have not. noraml would be 4X on an 8X DVD but you may want to slow it down a bit and give that try.
