Good morning all,
Recently, I've decided to start converting my library to .avi. I've found the best codec is XviD as far as my video is concerned. I also like the fact I can save it all @ about 700-750 megs and still have a quality video for viewing; or later re-de-compressing back into DVD format. I'm saving them all to harddrives to keep in my safe for future use.
I seem to be having an issue with the audio though. Some of the backups are coming out nicely video-wise, but the audio stream is waaaaaaaaaay off by about 1-2 seconds. I am saving in mp3-128 kbps @ 44100hz stereo channeled. Basically the app default. I've tried tinkering with the audio and changing the mp3 speed up to 320 kbps but still have the same outcome. Can anybody answer why some of the movies do this, but the majority of the movies back up fine? If at all possible, I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, without having to use a bunch of different programs. Preferably staying with just this one. Or, if somebody knows of a better program, keeping the same DVD quality; I'm all ears. Sorry, I have about 600 movies and want to keep it simple.
I'm trying here to put in a screenshot. Hope it works.

Some more information:
All of my conversions are being done from backup rips back to the harddrive. They are "NOT" being done from originals. I load my backup, and rip it back to a folder saved locally with DVD Decrypter. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Thanks to all in advance, I greatly appreciate your help!
