I just finished putting a(PYRO PCI 64 from ADS Tech)firewire card in my Dell Dimension 8300 computer with XP PRO.(160Gig HD,1Gig memory) and have started getting error messages. The firewire is for a Sony HDR-HC1 camcorder. The computer recognizes the camcorder and I have captured video from it, so the firewire is working ok.
The only other thing that has been done recently is a Circuit City CD with a 30 day trial of Ulead VideoStudio9, which worked once but since then has an error message stateing "Codec TrialActivation has serious error". There is no uninsall for the trial. I tried the control panel add-remove program tool, but that doesn't do anything. I've thought about deleting the file in My Programs but I am told other programs might be sharing files, and might be affected. I even tried using Restore, but no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here is the error message:
