Hello guys
I have a GENERIC 4x dvd double layer +/- burner that I would like to updade the firmware on to try to make it faster.
Can this be done or not and if yes were can I go to do this?

Tell you this, you can goto: http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php and search for your burner and see if there is an update for yours. Firmware make it possible for your burner to be able to recognize and burn to faster speed media. It does not allow your burner to burn faster than 4x, your just able to burn to other medias at 4x that are higher speed media, say like 8x and 16x. Hope i explained that to you ok.
