VOB - MPG converter? (then ULead as editor)

I've tried using mpeg-vcr to convert VOB files to MPG, but most of the time the audio goes out of sync when I load it into ULead Video Studio after. Does anyone know of a simple VOB -> MPEG2 file converter that WORKS? Basically I want to create mpeg clips (eg: select IN and OUT points) from VOB files, then be able to edit those mpeg2 files in ULead.

mpeg-vcr converts to MPG2 fine, but the mpeg files it creates aren't the most stable and cause errors with ULead. GRR!

z0diac: Did this work for you? I want to do something similar. I have a dvd (no protection) that I can get at the .VOB files but want to be able to create small mpegs clips from it to import into Pinnacle for a larger project. I cringe at importing the whole thing into Pinnacle and can feel the crashes coming.

Right now here's how I'm doing it:

- Rip with DVD Decrypter
- Select the clip from the VOB with mpeg-vcr (which makes the clip into an MPG)
- use WinAVI to convert it to another MPG which can be read properly with ULead Video Studio
- finish editing with Ulead
