there isnt a week goes by that sum1 asks this quetion, the files u hav got are more than likley WinRAR files, so u need to get a program called WinRAR, then u will be able to extract the iso from the files,
you only need to extract one of them wen u get to it, DO NOT EXTRACT THEM ALL.
if u need more help just post back

hello,
well you can try hj split, its a free program that rejoins files that have been split into many parts
but i can assure you,you need to use winrar for these releases
dagger is a ps2 games release group
try hj split,i found the link from one of the stickies at the top of the page, but you are wasting your time
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_download.asp?fid=20360&fileidx=1
try this again
right click on first file
click on "open with"
select winrar from the program list

Forget and download The NTSC version witch Nevemore released this morning it's not split up at just compressed and it's the full version. Works great for me after a DVD Decrypter burn.

hello again
you do not need to download another release, dagger releases are ok
you just need to know how to use WinRAR,and how to connect the file with WinRAR,thats all

I have exactly the same problem with the Godfather PS2 download. All the files show up as gfp-dgr( first time I've ever came across them).Right-clicking them did'nt allow the option to open them with win-rar so I joined them in HJ split and tried WinRAR again.WinRAR gave me a familiar looking rar file named gfp-dgr-iso ( which looked encouraging)However when trying to extract it the progress meter got as far as 27% then stopped and this message popped up'
'you need to have the following volume to continue extraction...which ended with gfp-dgr-r00.
'Insert a disk with this volume and press ok to try again'
I've hit a brick wall with this one. Any ideas out there?

not sure if i had more luck with this one than other people, but i downloaded the same torrent. bunch of files gfp-dgr.001 and so on. i didn't do any relinking or anything with them. i double-clicked the first file, which came to the, "browse for a program to open this file" window. i went to WinRAR, which opened it fine. then it extracted the gfp-dgr.iso with no problems - approx. 3.8 gb
to double check, i opened the iso with isobuster and it looks fine.
it's a PAL game so i still have to y-fix it for ntsc
now i have a normal godfather iso. haven't tried to burn and play it yet mind you.

5 coasters here for sale...
ok i rebuilt it and it worked!!.....in PAL, so on my NTSC ps2, it was the neverending vhold look.
so i duplicated the new rebuilt working in PAL iso, and applyed the y-fix and...it didn't work! blank ps2 screen again.
so i thought maybe because it was a duplicate...(doesn't make sense i know), but i yfixed the original "new rebuilt working in pal" iso.
then it didn't work still.
up to my neck in frustration here.
suggestions?

ya thanks for your help
there is a PAL to NTSC ps2 game patcher. it patches onto the PAL game to make it NTSC. it offsets the vertical shift (suggested 48)
it's called the y-fix PAL to ntcs ps2 patcher or something like that
i gave up on it and threw the unworking game into the garbage.
i swear that's the last time i'll ever waste more than 5 discs on a game!!

ahh shhit.
well im sure you'll get your hands on an NTSC iso download or maybe rent the game from the store for like 3 bucks and do a rip/rebuild/burn.
thats what I done but im in the UK so had no rpoblems about playback conversion.

Golucky are you by any chance using swap magic v. 2.0?! This is the exact same thing happening to me. I've got a 4 gb version of the godfather, burned it, blank screen.......so i've rebuilt it.....blank screen, wasted 5 discs, using RiData 8x DVD+Rs. Burned at 2.4x,4x,8x......to no avail.
I've very frustrated. Btw Suikoden 5 does the same thing to me. I've burned a ton of games before, all work great, sometimes had to use fixes from swapmagicfix. But these games are not listed and they both give blank screens of everloading. Any ideas?

no sorry linnx, i have the modbo 2.0 modchip. you probably have done more of this stuff than i have, although i can't say i've ever heard of ridata. if those aren't garbage discs, than i can't help you much. what pisses me off is that the damn thing was working in PAL, so i don't get how the yfix wouldn't work. i guess i'll have to rent the damn thing now tho.
by the way, it's 10 bucks to rent a game now at blockbuster!!
