hi having a major problem with both dvdrom drive and dvdwriter
the writer is burining at really slow speeds(taking almost 20 mins to burn cdr also both drives are slow at reading dvd/cds
i had this problem with xp tried all to methods to do with changing to dma mode and had no luck so installed windows 2000 thinking that this would solve the prob,but it hasnt at the moment transfer mode is set to dma if available and current transfer mode is ultra dma
but still not working correctly.
i recently installed a new mainborad,cpu and g-card was ok before with previous setup
im using asus p5rd1-v deluxe mboard
celeron d 2.53
pci express g-force 7300
this is really starting to drive me nuts any help would be appreciated!

Check your cable connections. you might have one that isn't seated properly.
