Neo Flash Questions Please anwser!!

I have some questions about neo flash: Will I have to download an update for every ds game i load or will it always be taken care of? And i've read that to save a game you have to have an original ds cart that takes up the same amount of game data as the one you are running on backup.

Can someone anwser these questions for me?
