Hi. I always having problems with torrent/p2p d/l speeds. Usually i use Emule, but it takes like 2months to download some popular 3gb file. On both emule or azureus i get max of 25kb/s download speed. Now im trying out this torrent program because it is for new big files and i thought it will work better than emule. But i got same thing. My internet is 764kbps (not very fast) with a westell 2200 modem. I made my ip static, because of the NAT eror as u know some people get. So how come my download speed is never like 40-60kbps? I would be satisfied to reach that high. Please someone tell me solution. Thanks

Yeah i know i dont have any seed files, but i did before d/l speed was same speed.
Some more info would be nice, for instance :
1)have you opened up the right ports in your firewall/router?
2)Are you using a private Bittorrent site or a public one?
3)do you realise that with so many leechers and such little seeders, speeds on a torrnet are usually a bit low?
4)what port are you using?
5)have you tried using port 1720?
6)or a port number above the 50000 range?

5) no i never did but i know some of then are in blacklist

Go ahead and try using port 1720 or a port above the 50000 range then, it usually helps to do that (port 1720 is used for voip, and therefore ISP's usually don't use bandwidth shaping on it, firewalls don't usually block it, and it is also becoming a common port for a lot of BT users).
No, it seems to lead my to same download speed even if i use 1720. I just get more peers with this 1720 port. What else i can do to try improve dl speed?
With this particular torrent, not much, there simply aren't enough seeders yet.
As for other torrents, i'd advise you to start using private torrent sites for better results.
but i dont think i will never get d/l speed higher anyway. It is not the only torrent i tried, I did some before speed was the same. I can try the private. Can you gimme same addresses so i can try to reg?But this torrent i think has enough seeders, look and website like isohunt.com and type this game name " The elder scrolls 4 obvilion" and u'll see
