Missing DDRAW.DLL File?

When I loaded Media Player Classic it would not start. I get an error message that says "The MPLAYERC.EXE file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DirectDrawCreateEx". I'm computer illiterate, so does anyone know what this means?

try updateing you directx from microsoft
