If you like downloading movies,games,songs etc how can you tell if the download contains a virus and if it does can you get rid of the virus without deleting the file.

Well on Limewire when file size for movies are like 246kb you know its a virus and on torrents just look at the comments if theres one. Someone probably noticed it already.

As for the 2nd part your asking I don't think thats possible. I am probably wrong though.

You usually can't tell if something contains a virus until you've scanned it with your AVS.
Nightwing has a good point on the file size, something ridiculously small usually contains spyware, spam, virusses, or a trojan or RAT server.
As for keeping the file itself, when something contains a virus, the real file whas probably never there to begin with.

I use shareaza because it's fast but since you say it's bad can you give me another program that might be better and don't put a torrent because I'm used to programs where you download

Just a note for all - exe, zip, rar etc files that are 851.7kb are a definite no-no. They are viruses which caught me out once or twice when I was a newbie filesharer. There are other files of different (and also ridiculously small) sizes that are viruses, but the abovementioned is the main one.

These are All Viruses...

easy way to tell if it is junk save the file anyware like my doc . right click on the files or file and scan with your anti virus program(avg is mine listed there )
