backing up mgs3:subsistence

Hi guys I'm having problems backing up mgs3:subsistence cd1. I managed to get cd2 to work,but cd1 apparently doesn't want to. I use dvd decryper and TDK dvd-. I burn at 4x-speed. I also have another problem. I tell it to burn at 4x-speed, but in reality it always burns at 0,7x-speed. I don't know why, but it doesn't affect my other games. Furhtermore I use swap magic, and when I start up cd1, and I come to the part where it says "insert disc" I get the blue screen, and then the game tries the load the game, but then it doesn't seem the continue, although the disc is still spinning. It seems it can not load any further. Can someone help me out on this one? Thanks you in advance.

use better media and update your dvd burners firmware

How about:

Check the media code on your TDKs
If it's crap media, use better media, like Taiyo Yuden
Select 1x or 2x, not 4x
If it still does it, try cleaning your PS2's laser by dipping
a Q-Tip in some rubbing alcohol and cleaning the laser
