You need to edit out that serial # there....

It starts with 5CXXXXXXXXXX

Anyway, I would try VOB Blanker. It might fix your problem.

Get it here.

If not, I think you might want to re-rip it. Might be a corrupted file as well.

You can edit out your serial# by clicking on that paper and pencil icon you see at the upper right of your post, clicking on it will let you in and make changes.

Shrink is giving you this error because the files created/ripped by DVD decrypter sill may contain some encrypted cells that DVD decrypter could do anything with and so skipped, also the file structure of the video files may of been messed up during the ripping process. You can get around this by using DVDFab decrypter to rip the files to your HDD, then open and process the files using DVD shrink.

Download DVDFab decrypter from here;
http://www.dvdidle.com/download/DVDFabDecrypter29.exe

As stated, use DVDFab to rip the video files to your HDD, it's a whole movie ripper so your getting everything on the DVD (it will create a VIDEO_TS folder containing the ripped files).

Once DVDFab is done, run DVD shrink and open the files created by DVDFab (click on the open files tab in shrink and browse to the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab and choose it), shrink will import the video files, at this point you can use shrink as you normally would to re-author the movie and shrink it to fit on a single layer disk, then burn with nero.

If and only if shrink gives you a problem trying to open the files created by DVDFab should you use vobblanker to remove any problem cells and correct possible file structure problems. Once vobblanker is done it will create a new set of video files that you will open with DVD shrink as described.

Get vobblanker here;

Once DVDFab is done, run vobblanker.

For input file, browse to the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in the VIDEO_TS folder and choose it.

For output location just choose a folder to store the files vobblanker will create. I create a folder on my desktop and give it the name of the movie, I then create another folder within that one and name it VIDEO_TS (this is the folder you will direct vobblanker to store the files in).

example: c:\desktop\flightplan\VIDEO_TS

Once all the selections have been made, press the process button and wait unitl it's done.

When it's done open the new video files with DVD shrink and proceed as usual.

LOL...

I watched these jokesters as a child too!

I believe(and dont quote me on this) Vob Blanker corrects the file structure of a dvd. Sometimes you get a .VOB file that the manufacturer leaves blank, or corrupted somehow, as a means of copy protection. Thats where this little proggie comes in. Works 99% of the time for me.

Johnl123, if I got any of that wrong, feel free to chime in. I defer to you on DVD structure. Seems to be your forté
