falconone,
Before you do anything else, you should update the firmware for your DVD burner.

Burn the disks at half the rated speed of the media.

But my primary suggestion is to dump the Fuji's. At this point in time, only Verbatim DL media have the quality you need for DL burns. Don't forget to booktype/bitset.

What's the error message you're receiving?

And what burner are you using? It probably is using a generic writing strategy because it does'nt have one specifically for that media. I use verb dl only and have never had a coaster using several drives. Good luck

I am using a Mad Dog 16X/8X DL and I am attempting to burn @ 4X.
I am not sure how to update the firmware. The error message is something like I/O error. I am @ the office right now and not in front of my burner. I am new to DL burning but had no problems with the 3 pack of verbatims I used but I get this error with the FuJi's. I bought a fifteen pack on sale for 29.95 @ best buy to give them a try. Cheapest verbs I could find are around $3.50 per.

Using Imgburn and decripter.

Don't depend on storeshelves to give you a good price. Don't buy something else based on price. Order the Verbs online in bulk.

Sell 'em! Put them on Ebay.

When I made the mistake of using TDK, after three problematic discs, I just sold the rest on Ebay.

If you can, just wait until the DL discs go on sale. In fact, find a local Best Buy this week because they're selling 20 Verbatim DL discs at 40 bucks. The 10 for $20/20 for $40 is the best deal on the market now.

If you don't catch the sale, just wait a couple of weeks until they go on sale again.

Thanks.Learned my lesson. Bought a 20 pack of Verbs @ Best Buy last night and my first two copies were perfect. Had to have King Kong backed up on a DL.
