I have a wireless router and my psp picks it up. I do all the settings but the reason why its not connection is because of the "WLAN Security Settings"
I have:
None
WEP
WPA-PSK(TKIP)
WPA-PSK(AES)
Now i have not a clue but everytime i clikc on the WEP and WPA it askes for some key.
Does anyone know how to get it running.
help will be appreciated

The security settings are asking you what security your using for the wireless lan
AT WLAN settings screen
When you go to scan for the wireless network, it should say your SSID and it should tell you wat kind of encyption you are using.
If your using no encryption it will say none it will say.
If it says WEP or WPA then youll need to go into your router and find out the password.

just to make sure it works go into the router
and find somewhere, where it says setup/config
turn off your WLAN security/encryption
If it works then turn it back on
Noting the tyoe of encryption and the password your using
Youll need to enter it into psp if you turn on the security

You dont turn WLAN off
You turn WLAN security off
WLAN is the wireless youll need that on.
Look for encryption or security and turn it off
it should say WEP or WPA

i have
WPA security only
128 bits WEP security
64 bits WEP security
No security (not recommended: your network is accessible to surrounding computers)
i checked the No Security but still nothing :(
what else could it be?
EDIT:
Could the DNS stting be an effect? i have it set as
Primary: 67.171.70.72
Secondary: 0.0.0.0
proxy server = Do not use
net browser - do not start
so i have the following:
connection name: Damo
SSID: BTHub-A440
Security: None
IP Address: Automatic
Subnet Mask: Auto
Default Router: Auto
Primary DNS: 67.171.70.72
proxy server - do not start
net browser - do not start
thats all

Youll need to know your routers IP
Your primary DNS and secondary DNS
To find your routers ip
go to START - RUN - type in " cmd "
command prompt pops up now type in " ipconfig "
Where it says default gateway - thats your routers ip
Now for dns type in " netsh int ip show dns "
and your primary and secondary dns will show write them numbers down
if the netsh command doesnt work youll need to go in ur router and find it

Its ok, i made mistakes too when i started.
Well since you got it working, now you should turn your security back on.
Make sure you know what kind of security your using
WEP
WPA
WPA/PSK
and make sure you know the password
If you turn the security on and it doesnt work at least youll know what to mess with.

The password can be found inside your wireless modem/router
If you dont know how to get into the router check the page link i wrote before.

This is a post for LFC4EVA,
If you havent unsubscribed from this thread, can you advise how you got it sorted.
I have the same problem you had.
100% signal strength, but internet connection failed, I have the same No. for my router and my DNS.
Cheers for any help.
Everyone should have Xbox live and a copy of Call of Duty for the 360

Its should now scan your wireless
move Right
u now have WLAN Security Settings..
Click None
you should now come to Address Settings
click custom
IP Address: Automatic
DNS Setting> Manual> Type your Primary DNS and Secondary DNS address
Proxy Server> Do Not Use
