i don't have proxy enabled. i am using a 1mb cable connection. no router either. i used ie and netscape but keep getting this error

Signup failed!
You appear to be connecting through a proxy server. Please remove the proxy from your browser configuration to sign-up.

Note: if you run an Internet-accessible web server on the local machine you need to shut it down until the sign-up is complete.

The only thing i can think of is that you have a dynamic IP

thanx mate.

i don't know if i have a dynamic ip. i mean with dynamic ip i shud get low torrent dl speeds but i get dl speeds of around 100-120kb on torrentleech.

anyhow thanx,

shud i contact my isp about this?

Which isp are you on ??

Mine is NTL and i have trouble with some sites as NTL use a transparent proxy which means every customer is routed through the same public ip address (although you do have your own ip seperate) try using a web proxy to signup once signed up you should be able to get on with your own ip addy :)

i tried using web proxy but to no avail. it did not work. also called ntl customer support, but they cud not help.
