I've searched and read thru about 40-50 threads before i decided to post this because none of the others really particularly matched my scenario..i have a PSTwo Fliptop V14...i have already voided the warranty which i was prepared to do from day 1. I have codebreaker 9.3, dvd decrypter and nero which ive tried to use to backup games. I've done just as every thread said and nothing worked however right before i decided to post this i noticed blackice made a post on an earlier thread which made alot of sense, but im tired of wasting my dvd+rs when shit isnt working..should i switch to dvd-r, do i need to get an action replay or an older version of a boot disk..or am i left with the choice of going and having to buy swap magic or something..ive spent enough money as it is..only reason i picked the ps2 was because the games looked simple to copy..nothing is working, codebreaker wont boot the copies...but i read that new codebreaker wont boot anything but originals..should i just trade this POS for one of the old chubbies? id appreciate some help..thanks

To tell you the truth, I guess none of those solutions really works. I just moded my PSTwo v14 with a MarsPro G-815 which was supposed to protect my console from damages and now it does not read DVDs. If you insert a DVD in it the console just shuts down.

In other words, do not modify your console, try to buy the games used, you can get the preowned ones at very reasonable prices.

okay... codebreaker CANNOT... i repeat... CANNOT boot backups... the OLD version of gameshark or action reply could have but they are like ancient... also you would need ghost clips or magic clips whatever u want to call it in order for your ps2 to open un-detected... which already proves you would need more than just GS/AR/SM.. you cannot just open your ps2 and swap them out... best bet is to get swap magic 3.6 with ghost or magic clips.. get the silver ones the plastic ones are that good (clips)
