First let me say thanks for the great website and community to everyone. I bought a PS2 this month after doing lots of research on these forums. All very helpful.

Anyway, here's my problem... Shadow of the Collosus doesn't load. When I burn it, it either goes to the "Please insert a Playstation 2 disc" screen or just goes black. Here is what I'm doing.

- I ripped it AND burnt it using DVD decrypter at 4x speed onto TDK DVD+R discs (same exact process I've used for my other backups). My PS2 is running Toxic OS with a DMS SE4 pro chip. My settings are...
Default boot mode - normal
PS2 video mode fix - force NTSC
ps2 video y-fix - on
psx video fix - off
ATAD auto-patch - off
other stuff that doesnt matter....
DVD+R DL Support - disabled

Anything I should try?

Heres what you could possible do but IM NOT 100% SURE,

Put your DVD+R DL Support To Enable

-or-

Try This Method if you have Nero:

# Click on "Recorder" > "Choose Recorder".
# Select your DVD Burner
# Then click on "Options", then on "Book Type Settings", set to "Automatic" and click "OK"
# Now whenever you use Nero to burn DVD+R Media, it will automatically change the BookType or BitSet it to DVD-ROM
There a chance that it will read the disk since now its a Dvd rom

Might wanna try getting some DVD-R. My V.14 PS2 plays TDK 8x printable DVD-R prefectly.

You know you can change the booktype using DVD Decrypter right? Just right click on destination and change booktype to DVD-ROM for your drive.

Could try burning at different speeds or maybe get new media, Taiyo Yudens. Goodluck :)
