I`m trying to make a DVD out of an avi File, but when Avi2Dvd starts to encode, suddenly my computer freezes and I have no other choice than rebbot or shut down.
Does anyone knows why this is happening? How can I fix it? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I've read this is one of the quickest and better software to make this conversion.
Without knowing your specs it makes things a little harder, but first off check you have the system resouces to do the job I.e lots of spare ram and a decent spec processor.
I had an old pc that always gave up the ghost when it came to converting files, it just rolled over and died!!!!!!!!
My solution was to go and get a dvd player that recognises Avi's.
Prob not the solution you are after, but if you post your specs somone might be able to help.
I've found Apollo AVI to DVD give me the best results without a hitch. I also use AVS video converter with no problems as well. Free softwares are available like virtualdubmod and such, but it's more hands on. Your proggy you are using sounds buggy.
