hi...i jus downloaded an iso for a ps2 game....i have a dvd-rw capable of DL also...

i have nero...DVD Decrypter...etc..

i can burn it onto a dvd r and play it on my ps2 right?


but the problem is...can someone tell me how to do it...thanks

Open up Decrypter, click mode>iso write. Click on the folder to select your iso file to burn. Put in your DVD (+R or -R). Once it loads, select the burn speed (half the speed of the disc is your best bet). Then click on the burn button (bottom left).

You will want to make sure to use quality media, like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Philips, Sony or TDK and you will have your best luck with 8X DVD's.

Edit: You do know that you need some sort of mod (mod chip or swap magic with the slide tool or magic keys, depending on PS2 model) to play this, right?

1. Download the game
2. Get "WinRAR"
3. If what u downloaded is just a single rar file, then open WinRAR and extract it into a folder on the desktop. After u did that, the folder on the desktop will have a lot files that look like xxx.02, xxx.03, xxx.04 etc. Open WinRAR again and select the first numbered file (usually xxx.01) and extract it to your hard drive. Then you should have the .iso. If you already had the iso file, then nevermind the WinRAR process, but if u have a lot of files like xxx.02, then u need WinRAR. U can burn that to a dvd using Nero or dvdclone. Just try it a couple times and youll get it.

The cheaper route would be Swap Magic. It is a boot disk, so you will have to change it out every time you play a game. Otherwise, you'll have to shell out the money for a good mod chip.

It depends on your PS2 version number. If you have a fat PS2, you will need to get the discs (CD/DVD) and a slide card. With a slim PS2, you need the discs and magic keys, etc.

You will install stuff (plastic pieces) if you have a slimline, but not if you have a fatter PS2.

Anyways,heres what you need

2.Verbatim DVD-R here:http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=510...

3.Obtain ISO legally

4.extract ISo using winrar

5.Obtain Nero Express legally

6.clik on Nero express and chuse burn Image to a disc. Pick you ISO and click burn.

Now to Play your back up

1. Take the front of the cover off your ps2 and replace with the replacement cover that comes with your new swap magic. Instructions comes wiht it to.

2. Put the disc in and swap play.

You don't want to get these exact DVD's because they are 16X. You would be much better off getting 8X.
