I guess I havent been uploading enough lately and my azureus lightbulb turned yellow and showed my ration as 0.894 <9 Poor (Yellow Light on) Usually a green light is there. So I am now uploading files completely but was wondering. Am I ok? Like ive been told I could get banned from certain seeders if I dont have a good ratio. Well what if I regain my ration soon, would I be unbanned?

Are you leeching from a private tracker?

If so they won't do anything right away but if that is like that for awhile than they will probubly give you a warning to get your ratio up..
But if it isn't a private tracker than you can leech all you want

What's the difference? And will uploading either private or public do the same thing? Also, is there a ceiling on the ratio? or a ground? (like a high limit or a low limit). And would I get more out of it, like more ratio if I uploaded more than one at a time? or uploaded a less seeded torrent?

A private tracker is when you have to sign up for it..And the have a limit on how much members there are.......
Private trackers want you to keep your ratio at or abouve 1:1 (1.00)

Also private trackers are way better because alot of people share and upload..Unlike public trackers

I get it. But this ratio thing. I know its like a reputation number for seeding/leeching but is there a way to work around it? like change your ip or something and then the ratio resets? Im not trying to avoid it but im wondering, is there a way to change the ratio without uploading? Or does it just know that its always you when downloading?

Nope there is no way because if you hide behind a proxy the site will notice and probubly ban you...Plus you should always share and upload

So what exactly does the Ratio use to determine my ratio? My IP? My computer hardware?

Why do you want to know this stuff..It just gives me more reason to believe that you want to get around it....
Bottom Line
YOU CAN'T

But to answer 1 last question of yours......The track it with a tracker that is why they are called trackers

I do not want to get around it at all. Also, it's very stupid to not upload any to other people because that would end the process of torrents. By uploading, torrents are possible. I am just very interested in how the Ratio Technology works. I've never looked into it before. I have so many questions about it.

Thanks. I don't need private info though. I mainly am just wondering about Ratio stuff. I'm still wondering though, is there a limit to how big (or low) your ratio can get?

Oh excellent. What happens if you buy a new computer? And/or switch location (like moving)? Would that all go to waste?
