Okay, I've burned over 70 games so far, and a few of them have massive trouble. Fight Night Round 3, Sims 2 and The Godfather all have horrendous loading times and skipping/lagging problems. I'm using authentic Taiyo Yudens, DVD Decrypter, and burning them at 1x speed. I've tried it all the way to 4x, and I get the same results. I honestly have no clue what I could be doing differently, but all the other games I burn work fine. Any pointers?

Did you rebuild the game? Try another media?

As for Fight Night round 3....I had no probs' I just copied with DVD Decrypter and burnt at 1x...No probs, Where I have found a prob' before is if other programs are running, I.E. McAfee firewall, this interupts the burn process. Worth a try turning it off while you burn. Good luck.

ok dude, the godfather was the first game I tried burning (only got a dvd writer yesterday and swap magic today!)

anywya what you need to do is

1) re-build the iso using the many tutorials avilable on these forums (there is about 1GB of filesize difference compared to the original ripped iso)

2) it is important to burn using "DVD-ROM" file library option. ( i tried on a DVD-R first of all WITH the rebuilt iso and it loaded much faster but the cut scenes were still too laggy and fucked)

so i copped some sony DVD+R dvds then

3) opened the rebuilt iso in DVD Decrypter initially but realised it would not let me burn as "DVD-ROM" because of my writer... so what I done was used DVD Decrypter to make sure the title of the disc was "GODFATHER" and applied it. then

4) opened the iso in Alcolhol 120%, alcohol let me burn as "DVD-ROM" file library so it was ok.... then burned at 4X and now it runs mad sweet.

even the movie "extras" run nice n smooth.

so in general m8 just

-rebuild iso (use tutorial if u dont know how)
-make sure the title of disc when burned will be "GODFATHER"
(but also follow the instructions for CDVD-GEN to apply the correct SLES number in the re-build process)
-then burn new iso using "DVD-ROM file library" option onto a DVD+R disc (only +R will work for this i think) (NB: I had to use alcohol for this feature)

-then enjoy the game:0)

now i need to find driver parallel lines iso :D

hope this helps

Your advice worked perfectly. All the games I couldn't get to play right are smooth and skip-free. Thanks for the help!
