My yamada 6700 has a fault - the motor to spin up the disc only works some of the time - it is possible to work around this by leaving the outer casing unscrwed and giving the motor a "jump start" (ie push it clockwise a little. The disc usually then spins up and works fine. I suspect it is a bearing in the motor that has gone, I have no idea how much longer this will continue to work for.

I suspect this will be most useful to people that have a similar player that has either been killed by incorrectly applying firmware or its laser has gone - this players laser and firmware are fully working - appart from the disc motor not always spinning up the unit has no functional problems.
