I know the WinAVI video converter is a software program for converting video formats at fast speeds and high quality.
And the interface of it has been designed to be user-friendly and can be easily operated by anyone.

You can have a try.

Hi there,

ConvertXtoDVD in a few word, will convert up to 64 .AVI files
Create you a menu (You decide how many entries per menu page).

Supports .sub/.idx and .srt subtitle files

Has a built in burn engine etc...

Try Apollo DivX to Dvd Creator. It is similar to Vso but not as simple.

Hi there,

Out Of Sync issues is NOT always the software's fault.

I am a ßeta Tester for VSO, and with the current v2.0.11.123 version, I found 1 .avi with issues (24.02ms Audio Missing: Log Messages) 6 times, and even them, if it was out of sync, I could barely see it.

Then I had a few .avi were any software I used it turned out out of sync.

Then I used AVIMux Gui to fix the files, and problem went away, when this was the problem with the input file.
Quote:
Many AVI`s have delay times set on the audio stream so that
audio/video playback stays in sync..

Unfortunately ConvertXtoDVD ALWAYS reports

Stream #1 sync. delay :0.00 ms
Stream #0 sync. delay :0.00 ms

Consiquently, ConvertXtoDVD ignores audio delay and your dvd
conversion becomes badly out of sync...

SOLUTION:

Download AVI-Mux GUI http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/

1) Load an avi into Avi_mux that you intend on converting to DVD
2) Select "Generate Data Source From Files" button.
3) Click on the AVI info at bottom of Avi-Mux window

IF YOU SEE "delay [ms]" showing anything other than "0"
Process the avi by clicking the START button on AVI-MUX.

Takes only a few seconds and creates a corrected version of the
offending avi file that IS IN-SYNC were both streams actually DO have

Stream #1 sync. delay :0.00 ms
Stream #0 sync. delay :0.00 ms

Sync problems thus removed when converting to DVD viaConvertXtoDVD.

I am now a very happy bunny and have now totally uninstalled
WinAvi.. I am now 100% ConvertXtoDVD user...

PS: IF an AVI plays out of sync with playback software, this is an
AVI problem and NOT a ConvertXtoDVD problem... There are
many tutorials available showing you how to re-sync such files..
THEN, sometimes the software has a few bugs, and yes ConvertXtoDVD still has a few bugs, but the VSO team listen to the customers, and usually have known/reproduced bugs withing 1 week usually, if it's a small one, and easy to fix.

There are still a few issues that need to be fixed in the AVI Muxer, but the VSO Developper said this is a job that might take 1 month to fix, so this is a biggie :)

THEN, it's all down to personal choices.

Some prefer TheFilmMachine with the CCE encoder because they are quality maniacs :)

I like VSO ConvertXtoDVD because it does a hell of a nice job, very easily, creates me a menu, supports subtitles and has a built in burn engine etc...

So try a few, and purchase the one you are more comfortable with, and gives you the wanted end results...

I have chosen VSO Software for converting my movies to DVD, to burn my medias with CopyToDVD, and generate my picture Slideshow using PhotoDVD.
