Ripping a DVD that was put onto a CD

I bought a DVD off of Ebay and it turns out that it's ripped. I can live with that except for the fact that the seller put it on a CD-R instead of a DVD and I can't play it on my DVD player. I have DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, but neither one of these will work on this. Is there anyway I can get this movie off the CD and onto my computer so that I can put it on a DVD?

What happens when you try and use Shrink or Decrypter? Does the cd playback in your pc?

Just to add to what binkie asked, if your pc reads the disk what is the file extension of the disk contents. It maybe that you will need to convert.

When I try to use Decrypter it says "Disc not DVD". When I try to use DVD Shrink it says it can't open the file. I know the movie is there because I can watch it on the computer.

As far as I can tell, there is no file extension. When I put the CD in, my computer recognizes it as a CD-Rom and if I play it in Windows Media Player, it pretty much says the same thing.

When you go into my computer and click on the drive letter there must be a name or folder on this CD, it cannot be empty.

Sorry.
When I click on My Computer, it shows the E Drive has a CD-Rom in it. It shows the name of the concert and then it just says File System: CDFS. If I right click and check the properties, it just has the name of the concert.

I think they are asking for the extension of the file(s) on the cd, example, xxxxxxx.iso or xxxxxxx.avi etc
is it a VCD? Try playing it in a standalone dvd player

I know and I know where to look to find that, but there is no extension. I've checked everywhere and I just don't see it.

If I click on the E drive itself, it brings up about 6 different folders for the CD. One of the folders has several files with VCD extensions. I don't know if that helps any.

open windows media and click play>DVD,VCD or CD Audio>CD Drive and see what happens

It'll play the concert just fine, but I still can't rip it to a DVD so that I can watch it on TV and not just the computer.

try playing it in a dvd player, many, infact almost all of them play vcd's if it plays then your set, however the quality of video cd's is comparable to vhs tapes. Pretty low,
