Your card does not seem to support pixel shader 1.1 which is direct x 8.0 compatible.
Your using a very old card by the look of things.
The game should have the minimum sysem specs written on the case, but as its a new game, its likely to be too much for your system.
Am I correct to think your using a P2 or P3 CPu, as thats probably not going to help either.

PS 1.1 means Pixel shader one revision one. That's old graphics technology so any new graphics card should do it easy, we're on Pixel shader three now. Depends what slots you have in your motherboard. If you only have PCI then go for something like a Geforce FX5200 128MB. If you have AGP you're pretty much free to go with anything you can afford.
You're basically using the standard integrated video that came with the earlier Athlon XP processors, hence the problem.

The AGP slot will sit above the PCI slots, and be some distance further in.

I should think so, It will certainly solve the Pixel Shader 1.1 issue.

hellraise
Before buying a card make sure that you have an AGP port, some boards come with intergrated video only.

Yep, just by your description I'm pretty certain you do. Assuming you do have an AGP slot, buy an AGP graphics card, they're much much faster than any of the old PCI heaps out there!
The AGP is the brown slot, with the indent.

@Sammorris, you have listed 2x PCI-E cards, when he has already said that he needs an AGP card.
Hence the chioce of card at a low cost gets harder.
Hence the cards I listed.
An AGP version of the X800GTO comes in at $58 more.
Maybe Hellraise needs to give max figure to spend?

Whoops sorry, I'm answering too many threads.
AGP versions of those two can be found, albeit at inflated prices.
How much can you afford hellraise?
