Hi
How do you burn HD-divx movie on a dvd? I used nero 7 , and the only way to do it was UDF option. It did not work on my divx player( Philips 5900 with upconversion)
Thanks
I have been doing this myself, and I'll just let you know what I have been doing.
i) Split the A/V stream using VirtualDub (as there will usually be a lipsync issue if you just burn the DivX - My first atempts where about 7 seconds out at the end of a 45 minute video!).
ii) Re-encode the extracted audio stream using a WAV editor like wavelab etc.
iii) Convert the DivX to MPEG, using Tmpgenc+, I made sure it outputted the A/V as two seperate streams and discarded the audio as I use the converted audio I got before.
iv) Use Nero Vision and load each of the video files (usually .m2v files from Tmpgenc+) and each of the WAV's and then told Nero to use the WAV's as the sound files for each of the video files. I then made a menu, set up chapters and burnt.
What Was The Time Taken?
Im using a P4 3.2Ghz with HT, running on 800mhz FSB. I have 1GB Dual Channel PC3200 RAM, and 3 HD's on SATA.
Steps i & ii took me 5 Mins to extract audio for each 45 min video, and re-encode. [20 Mins total].
Step iii took about an hour for each episode [4Hrs total]
step iv took about 5 mins to setup and 4 hrs to process [call it 4 hrs]
The whole DVD for 4 episodes of HDTVDivX -> DVD took me 8 hrs, but i tend to leave it before I go to bed, and before I go to work, so I'm not bothered by it!
I know I am probably doing something wrong or not quite right, but with my first attempts, I have now got 5 DVD's that I have made, and lent to friends, and they say they are spot on!
PS. I have notice some of the files are jerky. Apparently this is due to the fact that AVI's are usually set to 23.97 fps, and MPEG is usually 25 fps. Apparently I need to get Tmpgenc+ to change the framerate as well to solve this. Any one give me some advice on this?
