Hey ya'll;

Ok before you all go tell me to open my ports i have, before you tell me to use a port other and 6881-6889 I have, I am using a port in the high 50000 range.

No I'm not running Service Pack2 with a connection limiter.

I'm runing WinXP on a cable connection (10 meg).

Azureus 2.4.0.2

Here is a pic of my connection status(s)

As you can see there are many pending peers and seeders, but for some reason I cannot connect to them.

Very frustrating. I'm sorta at a loss here where to go.
I'm using a Linksys BEFSR41 (very common router)

I've tried port triggering, UPnP, forwarding ( which i'm doing now) none of it makes a difference.

Anyone have any suggestions that might help...

Cheers

Kali

well to be honest I'm not 100% sure.

I believe my router by default denies all incoming request unless I specifically open the port.

No Internet connection firewall in windows, that is balls, and no 3rd party firewall on my pc, I hate them.

I've been thinking about setting up a linux firewall here in the house, just for giggles,

Can I improve results with a firewall?

Cheers,

if you have windows xp, go to

controle pannel
then find security center and open it
a window open scoll down to firewall and turn it off

NO firewalls slow down downloads if you don't config the program and windows xp firewall sucks.

also on azurues go to:
tools

NaT/Firwall test and test it if you get an error, then you have a firwall blocking it or port not forwarded properly.

As I said, I'm not running SP2 so I don't have firewalling in windows running.

I just have windows xp sp1

my nat check is perfect, ports are open, just a wicked slow connection.......

I downgraded to azurus 2.2.x and that didn't help at all., in fact it made it worse.

Anyone else with suggestions.

o_0 lookinhg at your thing i see you are downloading multiple files, try downloading 1 at a time, speeds get divided up when you have more then 1 download. also download torrents with lots of seeders do you need a private torrent site invite... i'll send you one if you pm me and ask.
