Hi, a friend asked me to help him configure his media. he told me he wanted one central computer with all his terabytes worth of media (films, music, photos) with a screen in every room in his house roughly. iv been thinking long and hard and cant figure out a way of doing this wirelessly.. well simply and wirelessly. can anyone help me on a way of doing this. cheers

They make a device that is available at Circuit City. It uses wireless hookup and then the device can stream your movies into your tv set. Its bout a 100 usd. Fogert the name of it, but I was thinking of it doing myself. Because all you need is a wireless card and this box to convert the wireless signals from the comp into something usable by the tv...:>

ok i'm from the uk lol. but i know what device u are thinking of. so in theory i could have multiple screens around the house that this wireless device could stream to? if thats the case then that would be good. and they would each come with their own remote right? hmmm this is a thinker!

i found this device.. do you think it would be possible to connect say 4 to my wireless network. 4 screens, 1 each??? if this is the case then thats the best idea so far!!

I would imagine you would need a router since its the only way to split the single to 4 of them. But as long as you had a router then you should be good... And yes that was the device, but the one I saw was a different manufacter. Make sure of one thing. Read the specs and make sure the data transfer rate is high. The one i saw had a wireless g network at 54 mbps to give you a idea. The faster signal the more smooth the picture will be.....

ok i got it all wrong lol. what i was asked to do is configure a setup in an office of 4 separate computers that are all linked to one server. and the server can be remote accessed from home... whats the quickest way to do this?? cheers
