how do I convert avi tv show to (s)vcd

I have a avi file that I want to convert to vcd.
I have tried with winmpg but it says it should have audio and video stream.
are there any better programs to use?
or is there anything more to it?

If you have Nero or easy cd creator all you would have to do is add the video file and it would convert and burn it for you.

If you don't there are a number of good video converts out there. A lot of people use TMPGEnc. A free trail of this program should get the job done.

I personally also use Cucusoft convert as well.

i don't know a software.i think that you use imtoo AVI to dvd converter,then use imtoo dvd ripper.so like you can finished.

Does AVI file can played on WMP?
By the way,I'm using WinAVI video converter to do the conversion.I feel it's wonderful,you can vsit this to know details:

Windows Media Player will play AVI files if you have the right codec.

You could use avi2dvd, which converts to VCD as well. theres a guide for it here
