Followed the instructions given on a previous thread, did not work. My computer is showing 2 primary ide channels, one with the Dma on and the other with Pio on. Nero is also showing that Dma is off on my DVD-RW. Already tried uninstalling both drives still doesnt work. I have a CD-WR in my top bay and a combo Dvd/Dvd-WR in my bottom bay..... Any help would be much appreciated. Its taking up to an hour to copy my dvd's

Did you try to uninstall the IDE Channel that is in PIO mode?

Try that if you havent go to the IDE channel that is in PIO mode and uninstall it. when you restart it will install it hopfully in DMA mode.

Also how do you have the drives set up? I would place the CD-RW as slave and set it to the middle of the IDE cable and have the DVD-RW set to master at the end of the IDE cable.
