Hey people,
I've got a nasty problem that already wasted me 10 DVD's. When I try to burn a Data DVD (South Park AVI's, 2 seasons, each episodes in a separate map), it says that it needs like 53 minutes. After 53 minutes it says "100%", but it goes on 'till about 70 minutes have passed, and then an error pops up with "Burn process failed at 1x" and "Could not preform end of disc-at-once".

hi jurre
You seem to be a bit low in the memory department, can you tell me what else you are doing while attempting to burn your project.I suggest you stop all the external programs and only have the ones that are relatively important for your pc to be running.You may also wish to reject this so maybe then increase your ram by another 512 mb and that should elliviate your memory issues.

And how can I turn on those DMA things?

Ok, so I've found how to turn "on" those DMA things. In device manager. But the DMA mode is on, and it says "Multi-Word DMA Mode 2". I've read that this isn't good. Is there any way to change this?

OK so last night I've had another try. My memory now had a lot more space, but still it failed. Does nobody know how to open those DMA ports??

Go to Start, then to control panel, make sure you're in classic view, go to system, go to hardware, go to device manager. Double click on IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. You should see primary and secondary IDE channels. Right click on both of these and choose properties. Then go to advanced settings. Where it says transfer mode, DMA should be enabled. If it is not, you need to enable it.

GOSH! I've came that far. Look at my other post. It says "Multi-Word DMA Mode 2" and that seems to be NOT GOOD. Is there ANY way to change it?

Please do not use caps, one can interpret that to be rude. Here is a simple guide to change to Ultra DMA Mode.

I'm sorry. I got kind of annoyed.
I've checked out the guide, but I've got that far. It nowhere says how to actually change the DMA to Ultra DMA mode 5. I've done the uninstall thing, but that too doesn't work.
