I have a new 27 inch stereo Sanyo model No DS27425 had it for a couple of weeks or so, but i notice a "pinkish or purple" color in one corner slightly upper right any thought on this? could something be sittin to close, i know when stereo speakers are to close to a tv it can cause some picture distortion` and im looking for the Service menu codes for the same brand of Tv-

Any type of magnetic field will pull the color if close enough to the tv. If nothing is near that area then its a problem with the tv. Possibly the picture tube itself in some cases. If nothing is close to the tv, best to call service while its under warranty.

Drifter, on the off chance that you're as slow as I am, lol, I suspect Jerry is referring to unshielded speakers which is often the culprit. I learnt of that mistake the hard way!

lol well i do understand about unshielded speakers, the color is just a little bit, there is a VCR next to it , the tv and vcr are in a "tv enetertainment center" and on top is a digital descrambler and dvd recorder, and a few speakers around mounted on the wall but i dont think close enough to make a diff but will check anyhow, as far as the tv "service codes" go i just needed those for horizontal and vertical adjustments, since most modern Tv's dont come with those in the form of "knobs", like the older models of the past, ( except for computer monitors have them so you can ready acess them in there menu ) i have codes for my philips tv- seems every tv i have ever gotten needs adjustment in horizo or verti ways~ but thanks anyhow
