does anyone know if nero 7 ultra is capable of editing wind noise out of the background of a video clip?

I don't think you can do that on Nero... You need something that 'handles' sound...

The wave editor has some tools you might be able to use. It greatly depends on how the wind noise integrates into the other audio. If it is about the same frequency, it might be hard to get out. If it is constant, you might be able to compare channels and filter out the constant part. If the frequency is different, you might be able to filter out that frequency. If it is louder, you might be able to use that fact. I don't know enough about it to tell you exactly what to use, so you might try several.

Also consider if the noise is in only one channel, you might be able to replace the noisy channel with the clean one, which would end up giving you a mono sound for that area.

I just asked a Mod to 'send' this to the Audio section. There you'll find people a lot more knowledgeable that will be able to send you in the right direction in terms of software.

Saltgrass, you seem to know a thing or two about audio, have you been down the audio sections?
