How to create SMS DVD-R?

I really need help. I want to creat this:

A DVD-R that has SMS (for PS2) and a bunch of my Prison Break video files. I want to run SMS off the DVD-R instead of the MC. How would I do this? Please leave detailed instructions. Thank you!

I like the sound of that, I have lots of .avi files I want to burn to dvd which would would be cool playing them in PS2.

Is this SMS a new thing, ive never heard of it before. Can you please let me know how to get it. Also does it play video files off DATA DVD disc not DVD VIDEO.

If I could get this working it would be awesome.

Great guide for burning those AVIs,etc.. to a DVD.(Will play in PS2 and about any other DVD player.)

I've just did some research on this SMS. You need the SMS on a MC Exploit, or a modded PS2 that plays ELF files, or a PS2 Linux Kit.


I've never tried this memory card exploit, I think I have the right leads, USB to USB ? So after I connect my PS2 to PC via USB, what do I use to write the exploit onto MC.

Also is it safe to copy this exploit onto 16MB MAX MC without corrupting or losing any of my save games.

is it even possible to connect the ps2 to ur pc via usb, i thought the only way to connect them was via the ethernet ports

Ah right, ok good. I'd prefer to put exploit on memory card via CD-R. I downloaded exploit-inst and SMS Version 1.7. But not sure how to set up the files before burning.

The exploit-inst came with...

CDVD.IRX
\EXPINST.ELF
\SYSTEM.CNF
\FILES\BOOT.ELF
\FILES\IPCONFIG.DAT
\FILES\PS2IP.IRX
\FILES\PS2LINK.IRX
\FILES\PS2SMAP.IRX

So must I just put the SMS Version 7.elf in the FILES folder and then burn to CD-R.

Then load CD-R to put files onto Memory Card??

Giving me bit of an headache to be honest.

In your opinion what is better, SMS or Reality Media Player? I want to run my AVIs, with .srt subs none the less but I only have a fliptop and swap magic discs. The Reality Media Player i've found is pro and the files included aren't like the guides i've found amongst the forum. Input?
