Problems With Backing Up To PS2 Hard Drive

Hi, I have installed a Hard Drive to my kids PS2 and am having trouble with FIFA 2006 and FIFA Street. I have the originals, and they load from Disc, but when converting, they throw out errors and won't load. I've also tried making an ISO image with Dvedecrypter and transferring via LAN cable but the result is the same, a blank screen when trying to load. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Have you tried using Winhiip? It's the preferred method of transferring isos from your PC to your PS2 HD.

I haven't, I'll give it a go....I'm using HDAdvance 3.0 if that makes any difference ?

I have'nt tried these games with HD advance so I am not sure if they are compatible but assuming they are compatible, have you checked if they need any modes setting under the select button menu. (press select when the game is highlighted).
When I have had problems with disc read errors when converting i have got round it by making a back-up with DVD Decrypter as u say u have tried.
Winhiip is a good tool to use , but I transfer using an IDE to USB adapter cable which is quicker than a network connection (& easier to set-up).
I reckon your problems are caused by:
A) Just read errors on your original discs. (minor scrathches)
B) The iso file you made and transfered was successful but need a mode setting.

So, I have a ethernet cable and a ethernet compatible network adapter, and an empty ethernet slot on my PC. How would I transfer a game ISO via ethernet cable? @the original poster - Have you tried reading it with blindwrite 5 instead of DVD decrypter?
